About Lindhorst Winery
Mark and Belinda Lindhorst bought the winery in 1996, replanted red grape varietals and restored the old wine cellar. Their maiden Shiraz was named one of the new World’s top 10 Shirazes by the British Decanter World Wine Awards. Grapes are hand-picked and yields are kept low to ensure high quality. Their red wines have full colour, aroma and spicy, fruit flavours which are sold by mailing list to collectors, connoisseurs, specialist cellars, and restaurants.
Whether you’re a local or foreigner, the owners and team members will meet you upon arrival whilst you sip a glass of bubbly and find out about the spectacular Paarl valley. Taste their range of red wines which includes Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage.
If you visit during harvest time in February, you can join in and be a part of the grape picking, grape stomping or walk through the vineyards on any given day. Tasting from the different barrels will give you insight into the effect of various oak. Enjoy the country cooking of Harry’s restaurant or become a ‘Wine Partner’ and sample the best of their wines for 3 years and their vineyard cottages.
