About Bosky Dell Farm & Rose Garden

Over the warmer months of November to April of every year, the beautiful Bosky Dell Rose Garden opens its gates to visitors from all four corners of the earth. This scenic area promises gorgeous gardens and the ideal venues for a number of events and celebrations.

The Bosky Dell Rose Garden is situated in Plettenberg Bay along the Garden Route, which is just about perfect in terms of lovely backdrops and perfect settings. Every year, it is the anchor garden for the Plett Open Gardens too, which is an event that lures gardening enthusiasts from near and far to admire the blooms and trends.

This rose garden occupies more than two hectares and has been divided into well-defined sections. The more than 250 rose varieties are organised into these sections, complete with their perfect companion plants, creating a pretty retreat of fairytale proportions. At present, there are about 6 000 individual rose plants at Bosky Dell. There are also indigenous trees, perennials, and shrubs to complement the old garden or heritage roses.

Thanks to the lovely surrounds, this has become a popular venue for musical performances and recitals, and art exhibitions. In 2017, Bosky Dell was awarded the Garden of Excellence Award by the World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS).

For outdoor enthusiasts visiting Bosky Dell and Plett, a day on the beach or one exploring the various trails at The Robberg Nature Reserve are musts. Knysna is 30 minutes away, while Mossel Bay is about 90 minutes from Plett. The Garden Route connects the Eastern Cape to the Western Cape, and includes popular attractions like the Bloukrans Bridge (home to the highest commercial bungy jump in the world, at 216 metres), the Tsitsikamma Forest, Nature’s Valley, and Storm’s River.
