Through the Rocky Drift Nature Reserve runs the Joubert Spruit tributary fed by water from the surrounding mountain tops that has not once dried up in the past 60 years.
Animals you can expect to see in the Rocky Drift reserve include bushbuck, baboon, klipspringer, duiker, steenbok, reedbuck, monkeys, leopard, genet and rock pythons.
Prolific bird life includes black eagle, steppe buzzard and numerous falcon and kites.
The reserve offers hiking, mountain biking, quad biking and camping.
