Elands Valley Flufftail offers accommodation in a cottage located on Elands Valley Guest Farm in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. It is a charming stone cottage set against a hill. It has an elevated position which provides accommodation with with magnificent views over the trout dams and valley.

Self Catering Accommodation

Elands Valley Flufftail is a self catering holiday home that is named after one of Dullstroom's most elusive birds.

There is a main bedroom with a King-size bed, pure cotton bedding together with an antique wardrobe and a stone fireplace. The bedroom opens onto a large terrace with cast aluminium furniture and a Jet master braai. The view of the valley with its surrounding hills is uninterrupted.

A kiddies loft room to the side of the main bedroom is accessed by a spiral staircase. It has two single beds and a cot. There is a safety gate for children. There is a good selection of children's videos and books.

The romantic old fashioned bathroom has a Victorian slipper bath. There are "his and her" bathrobes and luxury shampoo and soaps provided.

The lounge area has a TV with DStv (hotel bouquet), a DVD and video player. At ground level there is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen / dining room. The kitchen has a four plate electric hob with built-in under counter oven. There is an under counter fridge and separate freezer. The dining area seats four comfortably. The view also looks out onto the dams and valley.

Unlimited firewood is provided and the cottage fully serviced by uniformed staff. Servicing on Sundays is available at an additional cost.

Road Access

Located approximately 15km from town with 8km of gravel road. A 4x2 and 4x4 is recommended. Normal high rise vehicles might take longer to reach the venue. NO low vehicles.

Onsite Activities

Guests can enjoy fly-fishing in 7 spring-fed dams (Trout & Bass), for beginners and advanced. A small boat and fishing rods are available. Two fish per day per rod.

This is a birding paradise with over 200 species(including Dullstroom rarities and over 800 head of antelope including Eland.

Special features include new floodlit tennis court, basketball net and football goal posts. Plunge pool, sundeck and sauna with a view, children's tree house stocked with toys and books and outside play area with jungle gym.
