There is nothing quite like escaping to the unspoilt splendour of the Highveld, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. Riverman Cabin Country Lodge is nestled in the tranquil Tonteldoos Valley, just 25 km northeast of Dullstroom and a comfortable two-and-a-half-hour drive from Johannesburg.
This idyllic retreat is perfect for couples seeking a romantic weekend escape, families gathering for quality time together, or friends looking to reconnect away from the pressures of city living. With no mobile reception and Wi-Fi available only at the cottages, you are invited to slow down, reconnect with nature, and truly enjoy the company of loved ones.
Accommodation
The farm offers seven pet-friendly cottages and cabins six of which are securely fenced each thoughtfully equipped for a relaxed self-catering stay. Decorated in a style of rustic elegance and charm, every unit features a cosy indoor fireplace, a private outdoor braai area, and complimentary firewood for your first night. In total, we can accommodate up to 28 guests.

Explore the farm on foot or by bicycle and take in the captivating beauty of your surroundings. Wander along our peaceful wattle walk, discover hidden trails through the woods, and immerse yourself in the quiet rhythms of farm life.
Spend your day fishing in our well-stocked trout dam or bass pond, or enjoy a few relaxed swings at our driving range. As evening falls, gather around the fire under a sky full of stars, then wake to the simple pleasure of coffee on the stoep while watching the sunrise.
For moments of quiet reflection, our chapel doors remain open to all who wish to pause, pray, or simply enjoy the stillness.
Nestled in the picturesque Tonteldoos Valley, Riverman Cabin invites you to slow down and step away from the pace of city life. Here, traffic is replaced by donkeys grazing in open fields, rushed lunches become leisurely countryside picnics, and city noise fades into an evening symphony of crickets and frogs. Welcome to your peaceful retreat.

Fly-Inn Cottage is a quirky 3 sleeper and perfect for a couple travelling with a child. Located in the Middle of the farm just off our Bass Pond, the cottage has a Queen bed in the bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a large sleeper couch in the living room near the fireplace and a well-equipped Kitchen with Gas hob, Microwave, fridge and freezer combo. Indoors meets you with a large and comfortable living area with recliner couches and an oversized Fireplace with two daybeds on either side. Rainbow Cottage has two bedrooms downstairs with a separate full bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet.
