About Spitskop Plaashuis

The Spitskop Plaashuis offers accommodation in a large upmarket house situated on a small scale working farm with magnificent views down the valley towards Lydenburg. This is the perfect place for hiking, cycling, reading, cooking and relaxing. Summertime is ideal for swimming in the farm dam.

Self Catering Accommodation

Spitskop Plaashuis is a self catering holiday home with five bedrooms, sleeping ten guests.

All five bedrooms are North facing and open onto a veranda. The two en-suite bedrooms have King-size beds, one has a full bathroom and the other has a bath and a shower. The remaining three bedrooms have twin beds and make use of a shared bathroom with a bath and a shower. Each bedroom has additional blankets.

The well-equipped open plan kitchen has a microwave, fridge-freezer, two electric ovens, a gas oven and a gas hob. The separate scullery has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier.

The house has three living rooms, each with its own Jetmaster fire place. All living areas are North facing. A TV with DStv is available in both sitting rooms. There is also a dining room that seats ten guests, a private study and a collection of books available for reading at your leisure.

Outside is a huge stoep with undercover braai and potjie-facilities and a table seating twelve people. The sunny patios are perfect for morning coffee to evening sun downers. Firewood is provided on arrival (If needed, more can be purchased on the farm). Fire side blankets are provided. The huge fenced garden has swings for children. Please note that the staircase and pond may make the establishment unsuitable for toddlers.

There are two automated garages with direct entry to the house. High Rise vehicles are recommended in rainy weather. Excellent security with electric fence, beams, alarm and armed response. This unit is serviced daily, except on Sundays.
