About Upwood House

Situated in the exclusive and secure, Walkersons Estate, which is just 10 kms outside Dullstroom, Upwood Guest House provides self-catering accommodation for eight guests. As you enter Walkersons Estate, the 24 hour security guards will welcome you and our onsite staff will assist with your luggage. Guests arriving on a cold and misty afternoon will be welcomed with log fires in the fireplaces.

Self-Catering Accommodation

The house has four en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom is situated upstairs and overlooks the estate and courtyard. It is furnished with a King-size bed and has a full en-suite bathroom as well as a fireplace.

The second bedroom is privately situated at the end of the downstairs passage. It has a Queen-size bed, dressing table with mirror and en-suite bathroom. The room has double doors opening onto the estate and trout dams.

The third and fourth bedrooms each have twin beds and share an inter-leading, full bathroom. These bedrooms open up onto their own little courtyard and also have its own separate lounge with separate DStv decoder and television.

The TV lounge is has a fireplace, TV, DVD player and DStv system. There is an open plan kitchen which overlooks the dining and lounge area. The kitchen is equipped with a six burner gas stove and scullery with a dishwasher. The kitchen contains all the cutlery and crockery you may need. If you would prefer not to cook, meals can be prepared for you upon request at an additional fee.

The patio is a lovely double volume area with glass stack doors to open on sunny days. The patio has a lounge and dining area with a wood / gas combo braai and separate fridge. The patio opens onto the estate on the one side and onto the private court yard on the other. The house also has a double garage and laundry.
