Tegwaan Pine Cottage offers accommodation in Waterval Boven on Tegwaan farm. The cottage is nested in a cosy little pine grove overlooking the Rock Fairies stream, and is a wonderful place to snuggle up with a good book or rest after a long day of exploring.

Self Catering Accommodation

Tegwaan Pine Holiday Cottage in Waterval Boven can accommodate six guests and is ideal for big families or groups of friends.

The master bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a tub, shower, toilet and basin. The second room is furnished with twin beds and en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The third room is furnished with a bunk bed.

The rest of the cottage is open-plan and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and lounge with a fireplace. The living room opens up to a naturally shaded patio with picnic table and braai area.

Enjoy your own private walkway down to the water or wander down the stream looking for birds or monkeys as you go.

Dogs are welcome at an additional charge with prior arrangement.

The Experience

Set just outside of Waterval Boven (one of the most popular weekend destinations among climbers and mountain bikers form Joburg and Pretoria), Tegwaan is a destination in itself: it is the closest place to the Restaurant(-At-The-End-Of-The-Universe) crags, and closely connected to some of the biking and hiking trails.

We also have our own ponds and fish, so bring your rope, your hiking shoes, your bike, your fishing rod or your hammock. Your dogs will also love it – and they will be exhausted by the end of the weekend!
