Lake Heron Game & Trout Farm offers self catering accommodation in three cottages on a farm in the Elandskloof Valley just 10km outside of Dullstroom. This is a great place for keen fisherman of families looking for a great getaway.
The farm is fully fenced and has Eland, Fellow Deer, Blesbuck, Springbok, Bush pigs and much more which you can spot.
Self Catering Accommodation
Standard amenities in the cottages include tea, coffee, milk, firewood, firelighter and mineral water (a small supply of all is provided to get you started).
San Solina (sleeps 2)
This cottage sleeps two guests in a King-size bed which can be converted into twin beds if preferred. There is one bathroom which has a shower, vanity basin, toilet and a Victorian slipper bath.
The cottage has a fireplace and doors opening onto a patio with great views and braai facilities. The country kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has a TV with DStv.
Stary Krowa (sleeps 4)
This cottage has two rooms, each with a King-size bed (or twin beds on request). The main room has a fireplace and doors opening onto a private garden area. There is also a bunk bed in the living area.
There is one bathroom which has a large bath and a shower. The country kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has comfy seating and a TV with DStv. Outside there is an entertainment area with a built in braai.
Maly Fisher (sleeps 2)
This cosy cottage has a bedroom with a King-size bed and a bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen / lounge and eating area with a kitchenette which has a gas top but no oven. Outside there is a wooden deck with a built in braai.
Please note
Starry Krowa can accept any breed dogs, the other two cottages are strictly for small breeds (a maximum of two dogs are allowed per cottage) - please bring own dog beds, bedding & bowls.
Dogs must be leashed when around the other cottages.
Owners are fully responsible for their pets and any damages caused by pets must be paid by the owner prior to departure.
No swimming is permitted in any of the dams.
There is no service over the weekends as no staff reside on the farm.
