About Cape Point Helicopter Tour

Finding fantastic overnight accommodation in Cape Town is the first step to having the South African holiday of a lifetime, because this city just has so much to see, do and experience. Although the city centre is alive with fabulous shops and eateries, the areas around it are also well worth exploring because they are just spectacular in their beauty and variety. A helicopter flight that showcases the loveliness is the perfect way to get the most out of the Western Cape.

This NAC Cape Point helicopter tour is a continuation of the Atlantico Tour, which starts at the V&A Waterfront. From here, passengers will soar over some of the prettiest and most impressive views of the Mother City and her coastline. This flight includes the gorgeous beach of the palm-lined Camps Bay, the quaint harbour village of Hout Bay, the rugged giant of the Twelve Apostle Mountain Range, the vast stretch of the Noordhoek Beach, and the pretty vineyards and trees of Constantia.

But, this tour also includes a flip right to Cape Point, which was once believed (incorrectly) to be the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. Although this has been dispelled, Cape Point and its nature reserve remain breath-taking sites of natural drama, where rocky cliffs plunge to the wild waters below, and the countryside is strewn with fynbos and wildlife.

Of course, the actual route may change slightly, depending on the weather conditions, to allow passengers to have the safest flight with the best visibility. The helicopter is comfortable, and there are awesome photo opportunities along the entire course of the flight.

The tour ends back at the V & A Waterfront; which is home to world-class shops, restaurants, galleries, curio stores, boutiques, and a variety of entertainment options.
