There is a 40-kilometre stretch from Kersbosstrand to Elands Bay, promising plenty of walking and beach-cycling pleasure.

This part of the South African coastline is also a favourite amongst kite-surfers that take advantage of the winds that sometimes wisp along the shores. When there is no wind, the beaches are great for swimming, stand-up paddling, and boating too. Over the months of August and September, this part of the West Coast erupts into colour as the landscapes bloom with hundreds of thousands of wild flowers. During the rest of the year, the endemic fynbos creates a spectacle of breath-taking proportions.
