Oslo Beach, South Coast
Oslo Beach lies in an enviable position, sandwiched between Shelly Beach - the beautiful and popular beach named such because of the overabundance of shells on its shores - and Port Shepstone.
The little village of Oslo Beach is virtually a suburb of Port Shepstone, it is so close to the town, and much sought after by those wanting to live on the outskirts, with access to the beautiful and secluded beach of Oslo, yet with good access to the town of Port Shepstone.
If the neighbouring town of Shelly Beach, just three kilometres from Oslo Beach, is anything to go by, this part of the coast is also a myriad of shells, largely due to the reef just off the coast. Surfing and fishing are the main attractions of Oslo Beach - that and the quiet that comes with being away from the madding crowd.
Oslo Beach benefits from a gradual incline that places most of the homes and accommodation offerings above sea level with spectacular ocean views; and the surrounding vegetation is peppered with indigenous wildflowers and native mahogany forests and is still largely unspoilt.

Oslo Beach is really really close to Port Shepstone - great if you need the amenities a bigger town offers but Oslo Beach has its own attractions; a lovely beach which offers safe swimming. We enjoyed long walks and collected loads of shells. The Oribi Gorge reserve is not far away if you wanted a visit.
