As the most popular shopping destination in South Africa, the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, at the V&A Waterfront, is a hub of excitement and activity. It is one of Cape Town’s most prized attractions, and allows locals and visitors to enjoy stunning views of Table Mountain and the ocean, while dining on delicious food and perusing the hundreds of stores - an all-round experience for young and old to enjoy.

The V&A Waterfront is home to more than 450 retail outlets that range from household accessories to boutiques, spa products, and Afrocentric keepsakes. Local and international brands mean that shoppers will be able to find an endless variety of just about anything imaginable.

The V&A Waterfront redefines a world-class dining experience, with more than 80 different eateries. Some of these are gourmet restaurants that showcase the finest culinary creations, while others are family-friendly take-out restaurants. There are also ethnic options and health-focussed delis to cover the full spectrum of palates and preferences. The food court has recently been revamped for an even more rewarding dining experience.

In addition to first-class finishes, the V&A Waterfront also has added amenities and facilities. These include six parking garages and facilities for the disabled. Just outside the formal mall, there is the V&A Market, in which more than 40 vendors display their goods.

There is also a workshop, and a demonstration kitchen and bar in the market to complete the experience. It is here that many African curios and South African mementoes can be found. The Two Oceans Aquarium is also situated at the Waterfront, as is the Robben Island Museum. These various facets make the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre a fantastic place for those wanting to get a real taste of South Africa and the Mother City.
