About The Daily Coffee Café Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is renowned for many things. It is one of the major hubs of the Cape Winelands, a prominent university town, brimming with history and heritage, and amongst some of the world’s most exquisite scenery. It is within these gorgeous surrounds that The Daily Coffee Café is perched on Stellenbosch Square.
This vibey spot is all about excellent coffee, an impressive breakfast and lunch menu, and an inviting spot in which to savour some me-time, meet with friends and catch up on all the latest news, or have a quick business meeting over a tasty meal. The secret to The Daily’s success lies in top quality coffees and ingredients, friendly service, and a great ambience.
On the breakfast menu, there are traditional options like bacon and eggs, omelettes, muesli with fruit and yoghurt, and so on. But, there are also a number of dishes with a difference. The breakfast wrap, breakfast burger, eggs Benedict, croissants with a range of toppings, French toast, flapjacks, and breakfast bruschetta with a range of fillings, are all on offer.
The lunch menu includes a choice of three different salads, quiche, savoury pancakes, fish cakes, pulled pork burger, Cajun chicken burger, mushroom burger, a daily pie, or the chicken schnitzel with cheese or mushroom sauce. Low-carb or Banting options comprise the beef stack with vegetables, a traditional moussaka dish, Cajun chicken with guacamole and cauliflower purée, and the bell peppers stuffed with mince, spinach and mushrooms.
In addition to the scones, muffins and selection of decadent pancakes, there are also freshly baked cakes on display, just waiting to tempt the taste buds and the resolve of patrons with a penchant for sweet things.
Coffees, teas, milkshakes and cold drinks are the perfect refreshment on a hot South African summer’s day or a chilly winter’s morning.
Stellenbosch is about 45 minutes’ drive from Cape Town and her beautiful Table Mountain, Robben Island and the V & A Waterfront.
