Situated on the lower South Coast of KwaZulu Natal is one of the area’s more popular golfing courses, Southbroom. Thick indigenous forest, a host of bird and animal life, panoramic views of the tranquil Indian Ocean and superbly maintained facilities accompany the unique course which has been designed to offer up a different test of skill on each fairway.

Golf Digest has recently ranked Southbroom number 1 out of the top 30 fun courses in South Africa and 50th out of the top 100 courses overall in the country, this stands as a testament to the level of enjoyment you’ll experience on the wonderfully manicured 18 hole par 72.

Established in 1934, Southbroom brings together the best of both the old world and the new with regular maintenance and impressive upgrades. In fact new water hazards and bunkers were added to the course recently and the fairways were significantly narrowed in an effort to bring out the best in the players ability.

So with tropical foliage, impressive views, top class facilities and a warm reception what’s not to like at Southbroom. Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in Southbroom and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.
