About Little Wolf Brewery

The Little Wolf Brewery may be nestled away in the seaside village of Kommetjie (near Cape Town), but it is producing some excellent beers; as well as ciders, soda and tonic water. Some of these can be enjoyed at select restaurants throughout the Mother City of Cape Town, which is great news for anyone wanting an ice-cold refresher on a hot summer’s day.

The Little Wolf Brewery is the brainchild of Stefan, who lived in the Pacific North West (USA), a veritable hub for craft beers and ciders. When he returned to South Africa, he came with plenty of inspiration, insight and new-found expertise. This saw the birth of the Little Wolf Brewery. The products currently available from Little Wolf include:

Dry Hopped Cider (ABV 6%)
This crisp, dry apple drink is infused with the sweet notes of tropical fruit for something a little different.

Hopped Apple Soda (non-alcoholic)
Local Elgin apples are paired with American hops for a lovely combination of dry and tropical, and a distinct herbal aftertaste.

Cape Dry Tonic (non-alcoholic)
Perfect for your gin, this tonic is made using quinine (giving it an earthy taste), citrus zest, lemongrass and allspice. It is multi-layered and is perfect alone or as a mixer.

Dark white (ABV 5.5%)
A traditional German wheat beer, this has been aged in brandy barrels for three months and is dark, malty and rich. The crisp finish is just about perfect.

Tart Saison (ABV 5.5%)
Aged in old wine barrels, this beer combines spicy and floral undertones to create a refreshing, crisp drink. Beer connoisseurs that want to get the most out of it are encouraged to keep it for a few months to mature even more.

By combining the world-class South African products with American influences and plenty of passion, Little Wolf Brewery has created a range of products that is as unique as the beer enthusiasts enjoying them.
