e-Rides is all about being outdoors in nature and exploring unforgettable South African scenery on one of our premium electric mountain bikes.
Just 2 hours outside of Cape Town awaits a tranquil Karoo escape, AfriCamps at Karoo 1, Hex Valley. The Hex River Valley, known as the gateway between the Cape and the Great Karoo, is an enchanting valley with remarkable rocky landscapes.
This oasis is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The avid mountain bikers can enjoy our adventurous e-bike routes, a range of flow-tracks and trails. Other activities include rock climbing and kloofing, while the less adventurous guests take a dip in the pool or enjoy a nature walk in on the farm.
Our electric-powered bikes give you the benefits of exploring the area up close, with minimal effort and exhaustion. Ride further (and faster) while saving some energy to enjoy your surroundings. Our high-end MTBs, the Giant Talon E+ 2 and LIV Tempt E+ 2, are battery-powered “pedal assist.” Technically, this means that the motor will give the pedaling a boost.
Full day rental: R650 (helmet and lock included). Ideal for all ages and fitness levels, with a recommended age of 10 years and above (min. height).
Please note: The trails at Karoo 1 are adventurous and slightly technical.
