Die Skooltjie @ Steynskraal Gasteplaas is nestled on a working farm near Beaufort West, in the heart of the Karoo region. Self catering accommodation is offered in a charming cottage. This historic eco-tourism stop is the oldest and largest town in the Great Karoo region, offering a collection of Stone Age sites, rock art, and dinosaur fossils.

Die Skooltjie holiday cottage in Beaufort West has one air-conditioned bedroom furnished with a King-size bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The fully equipped open-plan kitchen has a Dover coal stove, fridge-freezer, gas stove and microwave oven. The living room has a comfortable double day bed for 1 adult or 2 children, as well as a fireplace perfect for cold winter nights.

On the veranda, there is a braai/BBQ area with a lovely view of the farm. The garden has a plunge pool.

Steynskraal Gasteplaas is located on a tranquil farm 3.6km from the N1 Highway and 26km from central Beaufort West. Guests can visit the nearby Karoo National Park which is home to a variety of indigenous buck and birds and is a sanctuary for the highly endangered black rhino and riverine rabbit. Activities to enjoy in the area include hiking, 4x4 trails, game viewing, and historical tours.
