Self Catering Accommodation

Tula Retreat is an open-plan tent that is furnished with an extra-length King-size bed. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath with a view and basin. Guests have use of an outdoor shower and biodegradable toiletries are provided.

The open-plan living area features tea and coffee-making facilities, a comfortable couch and a fireplace, overlooking the beautiful natural surroundings. There is no electricity inside the unit, only LED lights, making it perfect for reconnecting with one another off the grid.

Guests can relax and enjoy the view from the wood-fired hot tub which is located a short walk away.

The camp boasts a private outdoor kitchen approximately 100m from the accommodation tent. It is equipped with a gas stove, a gas fridge and a firepit. Wi-Fi facilities and solar power points are available in the outdoor kitchen area, allowing guests to share their experience with friends and family.

Daily firelighters and wood are included and additional wood is available on request at an additional cost. Guests have access to our private slipway should they want to bring a boat and a 2-seater canoe and stand-up paddle board are available for guests to use.

Skiing, jet skiing and Yellowfish fishing are allowed. Boat cruises can also be booked on request at an additional cost before arrival.

Additional Info

Please note that access to Tula Retreat is by boat only. Free parking is available behind a gate on the opposite side of the Calitzdorp dam at the Fish Eagle Private Resort. From there, guests will be ferried via boat to the accommodation, situated approximately 40m from the water's edge. For this reason, check-in is strictly by 18h00, as guests cannot be collected by boat in the dark.

It is important to bring enough snacks and food for your stay, as there are no shops nearby. A staff member will be available to take guests to their vehicle if it is urgent. Staff are available between 08h00 to 18h00.
