About Wafu and Wakame
"Wafu”, in Mouille Point, not only boasts some of the most exquisite Asian food in Cape Town, it is also located along the ‘golden mile’ on the Mouille Point beachfront, within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. Feel like you’re on the ocean, as you soak up a breath-taking sunset, views of Robben Island and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the beachfront.
Wafu offers an enticing Asian tapas-style experience, including sushi, fish, meat and dim sum. Influences include Pacific Rim, blended with Asian fusion, with a hint of French and Western influences. A team of innovative chefs pour their hearts, souls and expertise into their culinary creations.
Wakame shows off its legendary views over the ocean, while your taste-buds will be educated and delighted by their sushi dishes, and delicately prepared Asian delights. Watch yachts cruising past, while you sip on a cocktail or a glass of crisp, chilled wine. The décor is sophisticated yet warm, with raised wooden decks with cherry inlays and green tea antiqued walls, with three metre long fish tanks lining the walls.
