From Johannesburg’s West Rand, in the tranquil suburb of Ruimsig, comes the notoriously challenging and famously well-conditioned Roodepoort Golf Course. The team at Roodepoort are serious about keeping their grounds in top condition and it comes as no surprise that the club is consistently ranked in the top ten South African golf courses for its superb condition.
Along the length of the course golfers will have to contend against 72 devastatingly well positioned bunkers, seven deceptively charming water hazards and against keeping themselves vigilant amidst the beautiful surroundings. The Bent greens are reminiscent of those that are found along the United States Tour and the fairways are well defined. Gary Player and Ron Kirby designed Roodepoort as am inland-links course that manages to challenge all levels of golfer.
Facilities are excellent and include: Championship 18 hole "Inland Links" golf course; a fantastic Halfway House; two large, well-stocked bars with televisions and a "Big Screen" for all sports enthusiasts and plenty more.
