About 14th Avenue District
Located almost in the very centre of Gauteng, Roodepoort is part of the ever-developing Johannesburg. Thanks to urban sprawl, it has become a massive epicentre of all things commerce and retail, and is the proud home of the 14th Avenue District - a shopping centre that is spacious, light, and well-appointed with plenty of convenient stores.
This mall is home to some anchor stores; which include Ackermans, Pep, Checkers Hyper, and House and Home. In addition, there is a host of other exciting shops to explore. These include Betta Biltong, Signature Cosmetics, Sheet Street, and Uncle Joes’ Flower Shop. There are also banks, salons, and a number of restaurants. In total, there are 30 shops at 14th Avenue District.
This shopping centre is well connected to other major areas of Johannesburg via all of the major highways, making it easily accessible for shoppers and visitors. There is plenty of parking, which is available free of charge. Security is on duty 24 hours a day to give shoppers peace of mind as they peruse the shops and enjoy a hot cup of coffee.
This shopping centre is open from 09h00, Monday to Sunday, as well as on public holidays. The open areas inside the mall mean that it is ideal for hosting a number of different events throughout the year.
Roodepoort is about 40 minutes from accommodation in Sandton, and the same distance from the OR Tambo International Airport.
