Sipping on the perfect beer is about more than flavour and fermentation. It’s about friendship, laughter and making memories. And this is the winning formula of Two Okes. It was born out of a friendship, when two okes (the local slang for “guys”) sat around a braai, sipping a home brew, and contemplating the essence of life. Today, this is a modern brewery that showcases fantastic flavours and fresh ingredients. But, behind it all, there remain two okes that are dedicated to their friendship and the craft beers that fuel it.

The range of craft beers currently being produced at Two Okes includes something for everyone, and offers beer-lovers the full spectrum of flavours, intensities and finishes. It includes the:

Two Okes Lekker Lager (ABV 4%)
This is a filtered, crisp, light beer with a subtly hoppiness and nuances of nuttiness. It is easy to drink, whether you’re a seasoned beer-drinker or a casual summer sipper.

Two Okes Irish Ale (ABV 4.5%)
As an Irish red ale, this beer is fantastic for those who prefer a beer that is less on the bitter side. It has a delectable caramel aftertaste and low carbonation.

Two Okes Stout (ABV 6%)
Deliciously dark, this stout has coffee and chocolate notes and a well-rounded body. It is refreshing on a hot day and comforting on a cold one.

Two Okes South African Pale Ale (ABV 5%)
By using local hops and malted barley, Two Okes have produced a pale ale that is very hoppy (read: bitter) with distinct citrus, pine and fruit notes.

Two Okes Hefeweizen (ABV 4%)
This wheat beer is a light, easy-drinking option for summery afternoons. It is low on bitterness and easy to sip on at leisure.

Two Okes Pilsner (ABV 4.5%)
With a typical German style, this beer is malty, hoppy and evenly carbonised. This is well balanced and moreish.

Two Okes Blonde (ABV 4.5%)
Crisp, clear and refreshing, this is the beer of choice for those that are looking for easy drinking. It’s slightly malty with undertones of nuts and a medium carbonation.

Two Okes Brewery is situated in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. This area is also home to the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden.
