About St John Church
The St John Church is a beautiful stone and thatch building that was designed by Sir Herbert Baker. The building was completed in 1902 and is still actively in use.
Used as a spiritual sanctuary for the descendants of the early settlers and the local town’s people, this church is surrounded by history.
Visitors are welcome at any time during the week and to Sunday services which start at 09h30.
Sir Herbert Baker designed many other glorious buildings such as the union buildings in Pretoria.
