About Tumbeta Private Game Reserve

Off the beaten track, in an unspoilt area where the bushveld meets the Kalahari and the sourveld of the Waterberg turns to sweet bushveld in the Matlabas river valley, this is where you will find the Tumbeta Private Game Reserve. This Malaria free game lodge in Limpopo is only 3 hours from Pretoria in the northwest portion of the Limpopo province and offers exceptional game viewing and birding.

Accommodation

Tumbeta Private Game Reserve family camp is the only lodge on the reserve and can accommodate a maximum of 24 persons. The lodge facilities include three luxury, family units which sleep up to six guests each (best suited for families) and three standard lux rooms, that sleep two guests each.

Also on offer is a Tree House experience. You will be sleeping under the stars on our secluded Tree house platform. A private candlelight dinner will provided. Your reservation includes the room option in case of poor weather.

On Site Facilities

The main lodge is large, with two lounges, a gym, a bar and large kitchen. It also includes the star gazing boma and waterhole braai area with large swimming pool and outside lounge. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Guests have the choice to take the full lodge on an exclusive use basis. Ideal for larger groups and get togethers. This allows you to have your own guide and game viewer as well as the option of self- catering with the use of your own chef.

The Fully-Catered option which is ideal for smaller groups offers an authentic wilderness
and safari experience.

Activities at Tumbeta Lodge include one morning game drive, as well as one evening game drive. Game walks are also available on request and with prior booking.

Never seen such a huge variety of game in one place before! Not to mention the lions visiting us while we braaied, and the cheetah that responds to a cheetah whisperer!!😜 We'd love to go back to Rhenosterpan with our bush mad family.
