The Loerie is a self catering cottage offering Modimoille accommodation at the lower level at the foot of the two farm dams. From here you are an easy 90 minute drive from Pretoria and 2 ½ hour drive from Johannesburg. As soon as guests turn off the R101, they start to unwind.

Self Catering Accommodation

Loerie Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Modimolle sleeping eight guests. The four bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed, offer views of the surrounding bushveld and all lead off from the living area. Two bathrooms are en suite and fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The third bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

With a private entrance, patio and barbeque area, the unit boasts a modern and comfortable interior, which comprise a spacious living / dining area with kitchen. The kitchen features a large island with a four-plate stove with oven, fridge/freezer combination and microwave oven as well as other amenities to ensure an easy self-catering experience. These include a kettle, toaster as well as crockery and cutlery.

Holidaying in the heart of the bushveld does not mean that you need to stay indoors all the time as the layout of Loerie lends itself to living close to nature.

The farm also features a country pool, two farm dams and surrounding gardens.

Guests can choose from a diverse range of activities in Modimolle, Bela Bela (formerly Warmbaths) and the surrounding areas of the Waterberg. These include Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm, Waterberg Zipline Adventures, The Waterberg Meander, Marakele 4x4 Trail, Rhenosterpoort Hiking Trail and Serendipity Hiking Trails.
