About Gweda Lodge

Gweda Lodge is situated in the Mabalingwe game reserve. A unique game reserve located only one and a half hours drive north of Pretoria in the magnificent Waterberg region of the Limpopo Province. The surrounding bushveld terrain varies between natural hillsides and open plains, with mountain views and perennial streams. The Game reserve is home to the Big 5 with the lions encamped making the reserve safe and perfect for activities and game drives.

Accommodation

Gweda Lodge comfortably accommodates up to ten guests in five beautifully furnished bedrooms, complemented by four stylish bathrooms. Designed with both relaxation and entertaining in mind, the lodge features generous open-plan living spaces where guests can come together while still enjoying plenty of room to unwind.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for a convenient self-catering stay, while the adjoining dining and lounge areas create a welcoming atmosphere for shared meals and evenings indoors. Large sliding doors lead onto a spacious deck overlooking the surrounding bush, allowing guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of the African wilderness from sunrise to sunset.

Outside, the lodge invites guests to embrace the bushveld lifestyle with a private splash pool, comfortable outdoor seating, and a traditional boma complete with braai facilities—perfect for relaxed evenings beneath the stars.
