Shammah Lodge is located within the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, near the town of Bela-Bela. This stunning holiday home offers accommodation in this agricultural region which is well-known for its geothermic hot springs and features a variety of natural attractions and excellent sporting opportunities.

Self Catering Accommodation

This refined lodge comfortably hosts up to 15 guests across 5 well-appointed bedrooms, each designed with a modern aesthetic and quality finishes. The first bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed, while the second offers a queen-size bed.

Two additional bedrooms provide access to loft spaces, one featuring a king-size bed in the main area with twin single beds in the loft, and the other arranged similarly with sleeping accommodation above. The fifth bedroom is situated in a separate loft area and includes three single beds. Four of the bedrooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms equipped with both a shower and a bath, while the remaining bathroom is separate and fitted with a shower only.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a microwave, stove, oven, kettle, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher provided for convenience. The open-plan living area offers comfortable seating along with a television, and it extends onto a wooden deck that includes an outdoor dining space, a boma, and a swimming pool overlooking the reserve. A dedicated pizza oven is also available for guests to enjoy.

The Experience

The reserve itself is home to a diverse range of wildlife and bird species, including the Big Five. Guests have access to shared facilities such as a communal swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, as well as putt-putt, ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable stay.
