Ellisras area is the ideal place for birding and game viewing in the malaria free, peaceful and tranquil, Matlabas Bushveld. This is typical sweet bushveld; game rich and covered in bushveld trees such as camelthorn, black monkeythorn, marula, red bushwillow, leadwood, knobthorn, etc. Birdlife can be spectacular especially during the summer months when the migrants invade the bushveld. In short, this is a spectacular destination.
