Brits: Brits is a modern, developing town surrounded by fragrant citrus groves. Brits also plays an important role in the South African mining industry: 94% of South Africa's platinum comes from the Rustenburg and Brits districts, which together produce more platinum than any other single area in the world. In addition, there is a large vanadium mine in the area.

Attractions include the De Wildt Cheetah Research Centre (additional info below) and the Vaalkop Dam Nature Reserve (a nature reserve of particular interest to enthusiastic bird watchers as more than 340 bird species have been recorded here).

Excursions include daily tours to a crocodile farm, the Rainbow Cultural Village (tour Ndebele, San Bushman and Afrikaner villages, visit a shebeen, and purchase choice curios), visit the Margaret Roberts Herbal Centre and pay a visit to the Granite Works, the largest diamond saws in the world are used here to cut blocks of granite.

BORAKALALO NATIONAL PARK
The name Borakalalo means "The place where people relax". This park, located approximately 60 km north of Brits, consists of 13 500 hectare of woodland and open bushland.
