The North West Province is home to a number of fabulous breweries, and Growler Brewing Company is one of these proud representatives of excellent South African craft beers. Growler’s unique approach to combining classic flavours and techniques with locally-sourced ingredients has meant a collection of completely novel, unique beers. This is a must for beer-lovers, pro tasters, and newbies alike.

Growler Brewing Company is situated in Hartbeespoort on the slopes of the magnificent Magaliesberg Mountain Range, and overlooking the massive Hartbeespoort Dam. Only the best ingredients are used and, although it is small, this brewery has all of the state-of-the-art equipment needed to produce outstanding brews. In addition, Growler offers other one-man-show brewers the opportunity to brew their own beers here and make these available for retail.

The product range on offer includes

Eish Tea! (4%)
This is the first alcoholic iced tea available of its class. This tea has the crispness of added lemon and is perfect for summer.

Ushokoledi Stout (4%)
Tthe rich malt and dark chocolate combination of this black beer and its creamy head is just about perfect.

Boom Shaka Lager (4%)
This premium lager is made using specialty malt and the best selected barley for a malty, hoppy taste and a fresh citrus finish.

Roaring Red Ale (4%)
The caramel and roast malt flavours dominate, and the finish is bitter. This is also available in a 2.5-litre bottle, which has an alcohol content of 4.5%.

Bushveld Blonde Ale (4%)
Expect a honey sweetness and a distinct fruity character with a crisp, slightly bitter aftertaste. This is an excellent choice for a light quencher; and is also available in a 2.5-litre bottle, which has an alcohol content of 4.5%.

Visitors can taste and purchase these beers at Growler Brewing Company. However, they are also available at a number of outlets through the North West, Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
