About Ukutula Lion Park

Ukutula, ‘place of quiet’, is a game farm that is not only beautiful to explore, but also full of wildlife and well equipped. It is situated in Brits in the North West Province, just an hour outside of Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Ukutula spans some 260 hectares and is home to an array of wildlife species. These include lions, cheetahs, hyenas, caracals, tigers, giraffes, zebras, a collection of different antelope, in addition to more than 130 different bird species. The animals are the focal point of Ukutula, and the care and conservation of the wildlife outweighs any commercial gain.

There are a number of packages available, which include walking through the bush with lions and lion interaction programmes, as well as the opportunity to hold a lion cub. Trained guides conduct these experiences to ensure that both the visitors and the animals are as safe and comfortable as possible, while educating visitors. This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that makes for lasting memories and excellent photographs.

There is a boma that has a distinctive bushveld look and feel, and is an ideal venue for an authentic South African braai. Enjoying the high African sky by day and night is a very special way to experience this country. There is also the Bushveld Bar, where refreshing drinks can be savoured while the bellows of the lions are heard.

School camps are held on Ukutula, giving children from nearby and further afield the chance to learn more about the fauna and flora of South Africa. The conference facilities at Ukutula are well equipped to accommodate up to 120 delegates. Thanks to the idyllic setting and the conferencing amenities, these are great facilities for meetings, conferences, team building initiatives and brainstorming sessions. The room is air-conditioned and has a data projector, screen and whiteboard.

Ukutula offers a full spectrum of facilities and amenities, making it a multifaceted game farm that appeals to visitors and locals alike.
