About Lehlabile Cultural Tours - CLOSED
We regret we can no longer recommend these tours.
Four important elderly women from a local working game, essential oil and cattle farm, established the Lehlabile Cultural Tours in 2005 by opening up their traditional style Pedi homes to visitors. These four dynamic women, open their homes and offer you an experience of their lives; their cooking, their traditions and their lifestyle.
Martha Mosima, Anna Mojadibodu, Miriam Moabi and Sophia Mokau personally conduct the tour, offering visitors the gift of insight into local lifestyles, food, decor, song and dance, and history. Tours start with a viewing of the community creche and school, moving through the village and ending with an optional lunch in a traditional Pedi homestead.
These cultural tours are highly recommended experiences, which offer the visitor an experience of traditional life that could never be obtained from a pamphlet, book or documentary.
