This museum was established in 2012 by the family behind the Kumanov Perfumery name. For years, this family has been importing top-quality oils and creating exquisite fragrances for different occasions and preferences. But, their focus also lies in educating and training others to understand and create their own beautiful perfumes. This is done through various interactive workshops that are on offer.

Over the years, they have accumulated gorgeous antiques, which are exhibited at the museum alongside other fascinating pieces. There are also engaging displays and workshops that open up new possibilities to visitors that want to explore and understand the exciting world of fragrance.

The goal of the First South African Perfume Museum is to connect the complex, rich history and heritage of perfumery with the unique interests and personality of each visitor. In this way, the whole experience is touching, interesting and memorable.

Franschhoek is an exquisite destination with plenty of character, history, outdoor activities and world-renowned wine estates. It is only about 90 minutes from Cape Town and 40 minutes from Stellenbosch.
