About Bosvelder Pub & Restaurant
Priding themselves on their traditional South Africa feel, complete with legendary service and hearty South African dishes on the expansive menu, The Bosvelder is a pub, restaurant and an experience!
Start off with a few favourites from the starter menu, such as the potato skins with pepper sauce; snails with a selection of delicious sauces; the Carpaccio a la Bosvelder; Lamb’s tails; marrow bones and mushrooms in cream. Yum! The Bosvelder platter sounds enticing, with something to appeal to everyone at the table.
For mains, we would try any one of the ‘traditional farm meals’, such as Oom Gert’s oxtail; Hessie’s lamb tripe and trotters (what a scream!), Gariep’s ostrich neck potjie, Marina’s pot of lamb’s tails or Aunt Jo’s bobotie. We just love the names of these dishes!
If that doesn’t do it for you, try something from the grill, such as the Abjaterskop Rump; the Vaalwater Lamb Chops; Skurweberg Pork Chops or the Pilansberg Spare Ribs 500g. The Bosvelder offers a mouth-watering selection of steaks with every kind of sauce you could imagine, as well as every burger you could have wished for, from chilli-peri, through to bacon and cheese.
Finish off with a Dom Pedro and cheesecake, for the perfect end to this delicious dining experience.
