Located West of Johannesburg in a typical South African bushveld setting is the Goldfields West Golf Course. The course offers a visual treat for animal lovers as there is plenty of game to be seen on the course including Zebra, Springbuck, Duiker, Blesbuck, Impala, Monkeys and an array of birdlife too.
Designed by Bob Grimsdell in 1950 and having been twice rated in the top 20 South African golf courses by the Compleat Golfer, itís not difficult to see why so many enjoy a round here.
The course itself is considered to be relatively short with all the Par-5ís measuring in at less than 470m a piece. Birdie opportunities abound and with its wide fairways & receptive greens this makes Goldfields West a truly enjoyable surface to play on.
Facilities include a full bar, ladies bar, smokers patio, kitchen, function hall, lounge, DSTV, braai area, practice putting green, driving range and separate changing rooms for men and women.
