About Winkelshoek Wynkelders
When travelling along the N7, why not stop off the Winkelshoek Wine Cellar. You’ll recognise it by its thatch-roof and know that you’re in the Swartland. It’s at the northern entrance to Piketberg and nestled between the Piquetberg Mountain range and the Swartland wheatfields.
It’s perfect place to taste and buy any of the wines from the Swartland Wine of Origin Region. Sample Winkelshoek’s own Weskus range. They also sell fortified wines and brandies. It’s a great place to stop off to buy locally made goods, imported beers or to enjoy a meal and a break from the long road. Winkelshoek Chenin Blanc is an off dry white wine with hints of banana and tropical fruit on the nose and palate. Definitely worth a visit.
