The Stables Cottage at Kalmoesfontein offers accommodation in Malmesbury on an authentic farm hideaway, just 60 minutes drive from Cape Town, making this the perfect place to get away from it all.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Stables Cottage is over 100 years old and is set behind the old farm house at the back of the cellar cool room. We wanted to keep the authentic stables feel and have left the original cement trough running through the building.

The two bedrooms furnished with King-size beds, however twin beds can be arranged, depending on your needs. Enjoy showering in our quirky converted reservoir bathrooms with locally sourced, all-natural selection of toiletries provided.

You will find air conditioners and overhead fans in all rooms as well as good quality linen and towels, hairdryers in each bedroom and USB plug-points beside the beds as well as in the living area for charging. Complimentary WIFI is available in the cottage, however please note there is no TV.

Complimentary coffee, teas, milk & sugar available in the kitchen as well as farm baked rusks, muesli and freshly baked bread for your first morning breakfast. Enjoy our free range eggs and help yourself to our veggie / herb garden (whatever is in season).

We have a Nespresso machine for your use and a complimentary pod is made available for each person. Should you wish to further make use of this machine please do bring extra capsules, otherwise we have good quality freshly ground coffee available for your enjoyment.

There are various outdoor lounging areas in which to relax as well as an outdoor barrel braai and dining area (wood and firelighters provided). On full moon, enjoy the moon rise over the mountains from the pool - it can be spectacular! Swimming pools towels are provided.

On Site

Explore the vineyards, swim in the dams and enjoy beautiful sunsets and Swartland views. This is a working farm with a love for animals. Expect large and lazy dogs, horses, chickens, peacocks, guinea fowl, and bunnies to cuddle.
