Located in the tranquil town of Piketberg, an hour's drive from Cape Town, Dunn’s Castle is a beautiful castle built in the late 1890s. With its timeless charm and tranquil ambience, the castle offers a peaceful retreat for guests seeking an escape from the bustling city lifestyle.

Accommodation

The Castle offers 8 sunny Victorian style rooms, and can house up to 16 guests. This historic Castle is only available for booking as a whole.

The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the third, fourth and fifth bedrooms are furnished with a double bed each. The last three bedrooms are each furnished with two single beds. The rooms share the use of three bathrooms, two of which are fitted with a bath and shower, and the third has a shower only.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and toaster. The dining room features a dining table as well as a fireplace. In the main lounge, guests will find a comfy seating area, a fireplace, and a second dining table. A pool table is available for guests' entertainment.

The property boasts a private swimming pool where guests can cool off, while a well-equipped braai area provides the perfect setting for outdoor gatherings.

Experience

Guests have the opportunity to hike along the wide fertile plains of the Cape's so-called bread basket. They can also visit Tulbagh, home of the wine industry. There are cycling trails close by and we are also situated fairly close to a casino. Activities include horse riding, 4 x 4 Routes, Bird Watching, Bowls, Fishing (Fresh Water), Golf, Hiking and Mountain Biking.
