About SKC Muizenberg
Cape Town is the ideal place for kite-surfers - it has long stretches of stunning beaches and plenty of summer wind to ensure that kiters soar over the water with ease, powered only by the elements. SKC (Sunrise Kitesurf Community) Muizenberg celebrates all of these factors by teaching newbies to kite-surf and by helping experienced kiters to refine their skills.
Sunrise Beach is the ideal location for the whole family. SKC has been providing kiting lessons in and around Muizenberg since 2012, helping those with a passion for speed and the water to hone their skills and feel the thrill of skimming the ocean surface in style.
In 2017, SKC broadened its horizons and teamed up with key partners so that they can assure their students of more in the way of equipment and coaching. Now, it is an even safer and more efficient way of enjoying the raw, natural allure of the Western Cape and Cape Town.
SKC works with each student in a unique, hands-on way. They will cater to your schedule, needs and wants; but offer essential advice and guidance on wind and water conditions at the same time.
Sunrise Beach is the location of choice for these lessons as it caters to pro sportsmen and beginners alike. It is one of the oldest surfing communities in South Africa, and it has a culture of its own. It offers the mildest, shallowest waves on the peninsula. This culture and these conditions are celebrated by SKC as they invite new and experienced kiters to join in the adventure.
Muizenberg is one of the suburbs in Cape Town, and is about 20 minutes’ drive from the City Bowl, Table Mountain and the V & A Waterfront.
