Breakfast can be booked in advance at an additional cost and you may sit on the deck overlooking False Bay from 08h30 to 11h30 and the cafe stays open throughout the day from 08h00 till 17h00. Snacks, drinks, flat bread and bagels are for sale. Our gift shop below the deck, supplies everything from ice creams to sun creams, locally crafted souvenirs, buckets & spades and all manner of penguin paraphernalia.

The lodge is situated a mere 13km away from Cape Point and has spectacular views over False Bay. Fabulous location - you couldn’t stay closer to the Penguins . Staff friendly and helpful but breakfast in the cafe is a bit of a car crash - we didn’t try the hotel breakfast although some of that was supplied by the cafe . Beds are comfy and the room had a table fan but no central ceiling fan so it was a little hot . Water temp control is a little tricky but to be honest we have found that in other hotels in. SA. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends looking for a reasonable value hotel close to the Penguin action !
