When you walk with the king of the African plains, you begin to understand something far more beautiful and wonderful than their sheer size and hunting prowess. You will begin to understand these incredible animals as you watch them saunter, meet their eyes, and hear them communicating with you and the other cats. But, walking with fully-grown lions is also an exciting experience that requires some guidance from the professionals. So, after a short safety briefing from experienced guides, the visitors and guides will be joined by two impressive lions for the walk of a lifetime.

This walk is between 45 and 60 minutes long, and takes the lions and their human visitors on a loop through the conservancy so that you get to be immersed in their natural habitat. The guides have such a deep insight into each of the lions and can share their knowledge with visitors, as well as helping the visitors to get to know the animals more personally. At the beginning of the walk, visitors often feel nervous and hesitant. But, by the end of it, they feel like they are part of the pride. Understanding the animals, their behaviour, and their space means that the guides and, therefore, the visitors don’t overstep the mark at which the lions feel comfortable.

An adventure like this demands photographs, but visitors will want to focus on interacting with the lions, rather than on taking loads of pictures. What’s more, for special occasions or for families wanting really special memories, a photo shoot with the lions can be organised.
