What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.

This glamping venue is a good choice for a couple or small family. We used it as a base to visit Magoebaskloof and the surrounds. This is not "boutique" glamping accommodation. It's nice but definitely not "boutique". The tent had a terrible smell when we arrived, probably from someone cooking breakfast before we arrived. We opened the windows and used air freshener to sort it out. Checking in was seamless. The staff working at the premises were super friendly often wanting to go the extra mile to help us. The beds were super comfortable with warm clean bedding. We loved the fireplace and the heated bathtub. Ther are several works in the area which made our stay pleasant.
