About Narina Cottage

Narina Cottage offers accommodation in Magoebaskloof on Dragonwyck Farm. The Farm practises natural farming methods, and as a result has many birds and animals coexisting on the farm. Various walks on the farm follow the streams and provide access to escarpment forest.

Self Catering Accommodation

Narina Cottage has a hot tub. A wood fired fire box gets the water warm. The plants surrounding the cottage and bird feeding table attract many birds to be viewed from the veranda.

Narina Cottage has a double bed plus a large couch in the bedroom suitable for a young child. The unit has an inside shower and a private outside double bath. The double outside bath is set among plants and shrubs and is perfect to be shared with a partner. Linen and towels are provided.

Narina Cottage has Wi-Fi but no TV. The cottage is equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the kitchen utensils you might need.

It has a portable braai stand and a built- in braai/fireplace in the rondavel. The rondavel braai is perfect for those cold and wet Magoebaskloof days. A view site/braai overlooking the valley has been developed a short distance from the cottage.

The unit is not serviced daily. Hot water is supplied by an electric geyser with a wood burning donkey(geyser) as back up. We supply a box of wood per day for the warming fire. Charcoal and braaiwood can be purchased on the farm.

Please Note

Narina is accessed by a 2km dirt road. A steep concreted section of about 10m takes you up to Narina's garage.

These birding cottages are the perfect place for some quiet time. The Narina provides for great birding in the privacy of a quaint cottage in the Magoebaskloof forests with access to beautiful well maintained walks on the property as well, worth it!
