Magoebaskloof Getaway offers Self Catering or Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Magoebaskloof. One of the the best country venues with trout flyfishing, hiking and biking in Limpopo, South Africa.

Magoebaskloof Getaway Cottages are serenely situated in a beautiful fertile valley on the escarpment of the Drakensberg in the scenic mountainous setting of Magoebaskloof, only 15km from the historic village of Haenertsburg and a mere 23km from Tzaneen. The cottages are less than three hours drive from Pretoria, and are situated amongst spectacular mountain scenery in the Limpopo (Northern) Province.

ACCOMMODATION

Log Cabin 1 & 2 (each sleep 4):
This Log Cabin (sleeps 2) has two single beds with side tables and lamps and a dressing table and chair as well as a cupboard with safe. It has a kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, etc. and lounge with sofa and DSTV (only free to air channels so bring your own decoder if you are wanting DSTV) as well as a shower/basin/toilet. It also has a deck that over looks the Bass dam and it has a type of a Weber (braai) on the deck should you want to braai. Please note that this Log Cabin is completely self-catering and all you need to bring is your food & braai wood or else buy wood on arrival at reception.

Log Cabin 3 (sleep 4):
This fully self-catering log cabin has two bedrooms, each with two single beds and heater blanket in the winter, lounge with T.V (if you want DTSV bring your own decoder) and a kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven/stove and microwave. It also has a shower/toilet and basin. There is a heater should it be cold and a fan when it is hot. There is also a Weber on the wooden deck with table and chairs so you can braai while overlooking the dam 10m below and enjoying the peace and tranquility.

Log Cabin 4 (sleeps 6)
This fully self-catering log cabin is our luxury Log Cabin. It has three bedrooms with the one having a queen size bed and the other two each having two single beds. Each bed has a heater blanket should you require it during the winter and well as their own duvet and blanket. The lounge had a long leather couch and Cain furniture with a T.V (if you want DTSV bring your own decoder as we only have free to air channels).

The open plan kitchen/dining room with a round 6 setter dining room suite and the kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven/stove and microwave. It also has two bathrooms with a bath, shower, toilet and 2 basins. The one bathroom is in suite for the Queen-size bedroom. There is also a heater should it be cold and a fan when it is too hot. There is also a Weber on the wooden deck with table and chairs so you can braai while overlooking the dam 10m below and enjoying the peace and tranquillity and the amazing view.

ACTIVITIES

• Trout fishing on the top dam or let the children catch some Curper, Bass, Carp or Barbel in the bottom dam
• If you are feeling energetic you can tackle the steep hiking trail which goes right to the top of the farm
• The children will love the Jungle Gym where they can swing or just play around
• You can mountain bike all over the area or even quad bike
• If you are a big group you will enjoy a game of volley ball or the kids can play badminton

This is a three bedroom house with an enclosed porch, a living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. There is a large deck on the outside and a braai area next to the house with a further braai area in the bush. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has two single beds and the third is a small bedroom with a single bed. There is a sleeper couch on the enclosed porch with a lovely fire place to warm the whole area in winter. This house is not situated near the dam but it is in the bush and is within walking distance of both dams.
