Eastern Cape DestinationsSunridge Park, Port Elizabeth
Sunridge Park is an old residential suburb that has been the home of Port Elizabeth’s families for generations. It extends between Cape Road and Kragga Kamma on either side, with Framesby as its neighbour.
Sunridge Park is the address of Sunridge Village, which is a popular complex of convenient shops (including SPAR), restaurants, speciality stores, salons, florists, medical facilities, pet services, and much more. With the many restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs, there is a fun vibe around this centre.
Sunridge Park is one of the suburbs that lies on the outskirts of the city centre – close enough to all the amenities that make life convenient, but not right in the heart of the commercial and shopping epicentres. Still, major shopping centres are within between 15 and 20 minutes’ drive away.
Kragga Kamma, its many country-style restaurants, and the Kragga Kamma Gave Reserve are in the opposite direction to the malls, and can take 15 to 25 minutes to access. This reserve has a huge variety of animals, including rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, and an array of bird species.
Sunridge Park is a peaceful escape from the city centre, but conveniently close to it.
