The Great Escape is a unique and tranquil getaway offering accommodation in Port Elizabeth, where you get to experience what it means to have only the sound of the waves and the bush for company. A once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the SA bush while admiring your very own 180 degree view of the Indian Ocean.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Great Escape is a self catering holiday home in Seaview located on the edge of the Maitlands Nature Reserve, amongst indigenous South Africa bush, overlooking the Indian Ocean.

We have one bedroom furnished with a King-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. There are two bedrooms furnished with double beds that share a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. All linen is fine cotton, all bath towels are provided.

The rest of the house is open plan with a front and back patio, giving you outdoor space to enjoy your location in any weather. Our lounge includes a work space and inside fireplace. Our kitchen is modern, fully equipped and includes a washing machine and dishwasher.
We have an outdoor braai / bbq stand that can be moved around.

With mod cons all provided: Wi-Fi, Netflix, state of the art security, gas hob and borehole water making this one of the few PE listings which is drought resistant.

The entire property is protected from wildlife by 2m high electric fencing. Please bear this in mind if you are travelling with animals or toddlers.

You will have one parking in the garage and ample off street parking on the drive behind our electric gate.

Pets

Your family dog is also welcome by arrangement.

The Area

Local amenities are less than a 5 minute drive (bottle store, super market etc.) with the sandy Maitlands Beach about a 2 minute drive from the house. The largest shopping mall in the Eastern Cape, Baywest Mall, is 15 minutes away.

Other than our local wildlife your neighbours are few: our local Dr who lives further up the hill, and 2 other neighbours even further up behind the cabin. The access road to the cabin is on private land and only these neighbours will pass your way.
