We unfortunately left a day earlier than originally planned. While the wildlife was wonderful to behold and really beautiful, our accommodation was less suitable than we needed it to be. The cabins are incredibly small and not comfortable to stay in for longer than 2 nights. For self-catering accommodation, the actual utensils for cooking are minimal. With the wind being as hectic as it was over our stay, we couldn't braai as the braai areas for the cabins are not sheltered and would have been a fire hazard. There is not much else to do otherwise. We will not be returning unfortunately. For other local visitors, we would suggest you don't bother spending the money for a guided game drive. You will be able to drive yourself around and see many of the big animals yourself.

I took my 85 year old mother for a brief five day visit and it was AMAZING. The Giraffe chalet was perfect for her as the double bed was downstairs next to the window. She could watch animals saunter past at any time. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here as there are opportunities to just relax in the park or go on adventures in the neighbouring areas. A good treat was to go on a game drive with a very knowledgeable ranger. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
