About Observe African Jewellers
Showcased in London, The Cullinan diamond (530ct) known as the 'Star of Africa' is a small piece of South Africa, proud home to many precious and semi-precious stones. Afrogem in Cape Town affords visitors the opportunity to watch goldsmiths and setters work with locally mined metals and stones.
Tigers Eye and Verdite are semi-precious stones unique to South Africa and are on display with a gallery of local rare minerals. The factory tour educates on the mineral heritage of the African continent with live smelting in the casting room fashioning raw gold to fine jewellery. Rough rock is transformed into semi-precious stones and African ornaments. Craftsmen can be observed in intricate tasks.
Custom pieces can be made within 24-36 hours or individual jewellery and curio pieces purchased from the showroom. Take home some South African "bling".
Free guided tours in English, German, French and Italian.
