About Abbotts Hill Wines
Abbotts Hill Wines are produced on Hillcrest Farm. It all began from the owner’s initial passion for red wine. He had the desire to produce wines that would be recognizable as from the Malmesbury Region.
10 hectares are planted under vines and the following varietals are planted such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. The grapes produced yield highly concentrated flavours due to the gravel slopes on which they grow and the extreme climate. A combination of these factors make for wines filled with character.
These wines are produced by the family using only traditional methods. They are hand-picked and the process thereafter is one that is kept simple and as natural as possible to allow the wine to reflect the grapes and the vineyard. You will only find these wines directly from the farm, but the journey will make it extra special.
You are able to book a wine-making day for you and your friends where you can be a part of the process of harvesting and bottling wine whereby you can purchase your own produce at the end of the year.
